Dezell “Bennie” Hopson
Funeral services for Dezell “Bennie” Hopson, 63, of Lexington were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3 at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington. Rev. Andy Ray officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mr. Hopson, a native of Leflore County, died Thursday, December 1 at his home in Lexington. He has been a farmer and a Baptist.

Survivors include four brothers, Droke Hopson of Drew, Herbert Hopson of Yazoo City, Al Hopson and Will Hopson both of Lexington; four sisters, Minnie Lee Sims of Lexington, Margaret Hocutt of Anquilla, Aileen Poole of Lexington and Hazel Ivy of Anquilla.

Pallbearers were Charles Handcock, Chuck Handcock, Stanley Hopson, Tim Hopson, Daniel Hopson and Mart Chandler.
