Obituary
Howard D. Terry Final Rites Feb. 12

Howard D. Terry, 81, died Wednesday, February 10 at Holmes County Hospital. Funeral services were held from Southern Funeral Home February 12 at 10 a.m. Rev. Dudley Brown officiated assisted by Rev. Howard Allen. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ed Thurmond, Coyier Farmer, Henry Mullen, Billy Zeigler, W.F. Scott, and Maylon Stephenson.

Mr. Terry was born in Holmes County and was the son of Henry E. Terry and Willie Bailey Terry. He lived in the Acona Community where he had farming interests until 1955, and was the owner and operator of Terry’s Garage in Lexington for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl J. Terry; a daughter, Mrs. H.R. Green of Crystal Springs; a son, J.H. Terry of Louisville, Ky.; and one granddaughter, Terry Lynn Green of Austin, Texas.
