Obituary
James Alton Carroll
Funeral services were held for James Alton Carroll, 67, of Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2003 at First Baptist Church in Lexington with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Bro. Blain McLain, Bro. Mike O'Brien, Bro. Joel Smith, and Bro. Dale VanNess officiated.

Mr. Carroll died in Lexington on Thursday, October 16.

He was a graduate of Lexington High School and the University of Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Marines.

The owner of Fashion Cleaners in Lexington, Mr. Carroll was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington, where he served as teacher of the Nathan Aldridge-Brotherhood Sunday School class. He was a Mason and a former Boy Scout leader.

He is survived by: his wife, Betty M. Carroll of Lexington; son, Andy Carroll of New Madrid, MO; daughters, Lesleigh C. Reeves of Madison, Tamara O'Bryant and Kristan Jamie Carroll, both of Lexington; mother, Frances Carroll of Lexington; and brother, William Carroll of Lexington.

Pallbearers were: Julian Watson, Ralph Alexander, Brett Atkinson, Allan King, Billy Russell, Matt Riley, Bryant Parrish, and Clay Rodgers.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Nathan Aldridge-Brotherhood Sunday School class.
