Obituary
James A. Henley
Funeral services for James Alexander Henley, 76, of Route 3, Lexington were held at 2:30 Monday, November 3 at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington. Rev. J. O. Twitchell officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Henley, a life-long resident of Holmes County, died Sunday, November 2 at the Methodist Hospital in Lexington.

He was a retired merchant and farmer, a World War II veteran and member of the Acona United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Peacock Henley; three brothers, Robert Sidney Henley and Ed Buck Henley of Lexington and William A. Henley of Jackson; and two sisters, Mrs. Nurry Nixon of Raleigh, North Carolina and Mrs. Mattie Alice Willis of Mission, Texas.

Pallbearers were Thad Henley, Mark Henley, Buckie Henley, Joe Moore, Bob Peacock, Eddie Peacock, Jerry Peacock and Bryant Parrish. Dr. John Downer was an honorary pallbearer.
