Obituary
James Berry Sims
Funeral services for James Berry Sims, 70, of Lexington were held Monday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with Rev. James Carr officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Sims died at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington on Saturday, March 1. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Lexington and a World War II veteran. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the old Holmes County Hospital. He was a native of Winston County.

Mr. Sims is survived by his wife - Minnie Lee Sims of Lexington; one son - James R. Sims of Jackson; one daughter - Bettye Sue Sims of Lexington; two brothers -Louis Sims of Eupora and Charlie Sims of Rolling Fork; and two grandchildren, Randy Sims and Janice Sims of Jackson.

Pallbearers were Mac Wigley, Ralph Alexander, Leo Alderman, Lewis Alexander, Calvin Moore, and Jim Brown.
