James Pepper Tidwell, 92, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at home. Visitation is 1 p.m. Friday at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington. Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Lexington, James Pepper Tidwell died early Wednesday morning at age 92. Pep, as he was known by family and friends, was a World War II veteran. Pep owned and operated T & T Grocery for 50 years.
Survivors include: wife, Ruth R. Tidwell of Lexington; brother, Bob Tidwell; and sister, Doris Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
