Obituary
James H. Townsend
James H. Townsend, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died Saturday at South Nevada Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 3 from Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Howard Allen, assisted by the Reverend E. S. Furr, officiating. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mr. Townsend was a native of Holmes County. His parents were James Harman Townsend and Winnie Sharpe Townsend. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Winnie S. Vallee of New Orleans. La., four aunts, Mrs. Irene Watson, Mrs. Luree Chatoney, Mrs. Rosa Ervin and Mrs. Roxie Street, all of Jackson; one brother, Arther S. Townsend of Las Vegas, Nev.

Pallbearers were Bob Gilfoy. Lamar Noble, Jr., Frank Hughes, W. P. Zemp, W. H. Russell and Harry Stewart.
