Obituary Marie Jeannette Bowie Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Jeannette Bowie, 77, of Lexington, were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11 at First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Officiating minister was Rev. Tom Hollowell. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bowie died of heart failure at Lexington Manor on Sunday, January 9. She had been a resident of Lexington Manor for the past three years.
A native of Carroll County, she was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington and a member of the Magnolia Garden Club of Lexington.
Survivors include: sons, William H. Bowie of Houston, Texas, Robert H. Bowie of Black Hawk, and Charlie C. Bowie of Navarre, Florida; brother, Henry S. Milner of Vaiden; sister, Dorothy Pearl Simpson of Vaiden; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were James Sims, Calvin Moore, White Malone, Phil Cohen, Billy Ellis and Mack Grantham.
