JESSE RUBEL GOZA

Services for Jesse Rubel Goza, 78, husband of Mrs. Lucille L. Goza, were held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mr. Goza passed away Thursday, Nov. 10 at Holmes County Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Holmes County, he was the son of E.W. Goza and Norah Wofford Goza. Mr. Goza was a retired employee of the Soil Conservation Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Lexington, and a Mason.

He leaves his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Norine Jefferies of Savannah, Ga.; three sons, Jesse R. Goza, Jr. of Longview, Texas, Aaron W. Goza of LaFeria, Texas, and Joe B. Chapman. Jr. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. Garnet Rupright of West Point and Mrs. Althea Hays of Jackson; one brother, E.W. Goza, Jr., of West Point; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Goza, Paul Goza, Danny Chapman, Joe Chapman, Edwin Galey, and Sandy Power. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Kenna, Billy Ellis, Dr. Paul Brumby, Mike Lammons, Gene Trotman,
