Mrs. Jessie Downer Young was a native of Holmes County. She lived in Lexington for thirty five years and was the daughter of the late Theresa Farr and John Thomas Downer. She had one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Young Gelston of Lexington, and two brothers, Leland K. Downer of Acona and K.F. Downer of Lexington.
