Obituary
John Everett Morgan Jr.
John Everett Morgan, Jr., died Saturday in Portland, Oregon.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25 from Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Nabors officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

A native of Elliott, Mr. Morgan was retired from the U. S. Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are two daughters Mrs. Judy Word and Mrs. Linda Hathcock of Lexington; one son, John Morgan III of Lexington; his mother, Mrs. - Morgan of Southaven; one sister, Mrs. Bonnie Sims of Southaven; three brothers, Kenneth Morgan of Germantown, Tenn., Charles Morgan of Washington, D.C. and Basal Morgan; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Billy Williams, Hubert Williams, - Grantham, Melvin Grantham, Charles Heath and George Hathcock,
