Obituary
John George Street
Funeral services for John George Street, 97, of Jackson were held from the Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home chapel in Jackson on Saturday, February 26. Interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington at 1:00 p.m. with Masonic graveside rites.

Mr. Street, a native of Lake, had been a resident of Jackson for the past fifty years. He was active in Masonry for 72 years, was a member of Capitol Masonic Lodge #600, a 32nd Degree York and Scottish Rite Shriner and a member of Radiant Chapter #20 Order of the Eastern Star.

He was a member of Gideons International and a retired employee of the Mississippi School Supply Company of Jackson. He was a World War I Army Veteran and a member of the Henry H. Graves Post #1 American Legion.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rozie Sharpe Street of Jackson: one sister, Mrs. Alma Carr of Arlington, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
