John Loyd Wilson was a native of Webster County. He was employed as a mechanic at the Peaster Tractor Company of Lexington and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was married to Hazel Tidmore Wilson. He had two sons, Dink Wilson and Harrell Wilson, both of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Carlene Pittman of Schlater, and Mrs. Fary Kelly of Itta Bena; one brother, Olen Wilson of Itta Bena.
