Charles Russell Johnson, Jr.
Graveside services for Dr. Charles Russell Johnson, Jr., 77, of Jackson were held at 11 o'clock Tuesday, February 5 in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Rev. Doug Applegate officiated. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Johnson died Saturday, February 2, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson.
A native of Washington County, he was Chiropodist at Mississippi State University, an army veteran of World War II, and a Methodist.
Survivors include: brother-in-law, Melvin "Bo" Grantham and his wife Annie Mae Grantham of Lexington; sisters-in-law, Clara Pace of Conroe, Texas, Frances Pickering of Raymond, and Earline Pickering of Buford, South Carolina.
