Obituary

Mrs. Marion D. Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Marion D. Johnson, 48, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 14 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. Leslie Nabors officiated with interment in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson, a widower and retired nurse, died Tuesday, December 12 at her home near Lexington. A native of Holmes County, she was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Larry Johnson of Lexington; one brother, James E. "Slick" Davis of Lexington; two sisters, Purtie Brown and Hilda Brown of Lexington; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were Johnny Dunn, Mike Shows, Hank Dozier, Bill Hood, Terry Wheeler, Jeff Davis, Ray Johnson, and Bob Frank McLellan.
