Obituary
Services Held For Joseph N. Stewart
Funeral services for Joseph Newton Stewart, 34, were held on Tuesday, January 12, at 10:00 a. m. in the Lexington Baptist Church. The Rev. Vollie Scott was in charge, with Rev. P. D. Bragg assisting.

At the time of his death, Mr. Stewart was an installer-repairman for the Bell Telephone Co. He was a veteran of World War II, having served 39 months, from 1942 to 1945, in the U. S. Army. Born in Holmes county, he graduated from Coxburg High School in 1939 and was married on November 11, 1942, to the former Miss Annie Ford Shanks. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Joseph Newton and Charles David Stewart, his mother, Mrs. Susie R. Stewart, and three brothers, Ben R. Stewart, Sidney E. Stewart and Albert A. Stewart.

Interment was at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge.
