J. C. Peck Passed Away
Wednesday In Memphis Hospital
J. C. Peck, aged 38, former Yazoo Countian, died in a Memphis hospital Wednesday, where he had been rushed from a Lexington hospital to which he had been confined for some time.
Mr. Pecks death was attributed to the result of a severe burn that he sustained about four months ago when he throw from his home near Lexington a flaming lamp. Ever since that time. Mr. Peck has been confined to the Lexington hospital. A leg injury received during his service in the World War, aggravated his condition, which became critical Monday and he was rushed to Memphis for treatment, but to no avail.
Mr. Peck lived near Lexington, but was reared near Eden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Peck, and is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Peck, of Eden, and the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Richard Winstead, Mrs. Mittie Broomhall, also of Eden, Mrs. W. F. Cummings, Anding, Miss Annie Peck, Memphis, Shelby, Tom and John Peck, Eden.
