Obituary
Kelly "Bob" Tidwell Kelly "Bob" Tidwell, 95, of Hernando, MS, died on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time for the service. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Rev. Mike O'Brien and Rev. Wes Bonner will officiate.

Mr. Tidwell was born September 17, 1913 in Holmes County, the son of the late Elijah Enoch Tidwell and Dessis Robertson Tidwell. He was formerly owner of a cafe and service station in Lexington. A World War II veteran, he served with the Navy CB's from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington.

Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Pearl Tidwell, who passed away in December 2004.

He is survived by a son Ramon Tate and wife Joy of Lexington, MS, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
