Louise Jordan King
Louise Jordan King of Brandon, 88, died Monday, January 20, 2003 at the Crossgates Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services were conducted by her son, Kenneth V. King, Jr., at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24, in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. King was born June 10, 1914, in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Vernon King, and three brothers, H. M. Jordan, Frank Jordan, and William W. Jordan. Mrs. King and her husband owned King's Volunteer Store in Lexington for many years. She was retired from Martin School Equipment and was a member of Quota International, and a former member of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons, William A. King of Elberta, AL, Kenneth V. King, Jr. of Oakland, CA and Andrew Jordan King of Johnstown, PA; one brother, David Jordan of Covington, LA; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or any hospice organization.
