Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Cunningham Johnson, 95, of Lexington were held Friday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. from First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Rev. Andy Ray officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Johnson died at the Holmes County Hospital in Lexington on Wednesday, April 10 after an extended illness. She was a home maker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington. She was a native and life-long resident of Holmes County, and the daughter of James Brittain Cunningham and Laura Bates Cunningham.
Survivors include two nephews, Dr. George C. Purvis of Rayville, Louisiana and John B. Cunningham of Laurel and two nieces -Virginia G. Jones of West Point, Georgia, and Frances Few of Durham, North Carolina.
Pallbearers were Harry Stewart, Don Barrett, Wyche Hooker, Ken Cunningham, James Cunningham, Jr. and George Cunningham.
