Mrs. Lois Brady
Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Childress Brady, 97, of Perry, Florida, and formerly of Lexington, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5 from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with Rev. Howard Allen officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Brady, a native of Flora and a longtime resident of Lexington, died on Sunday, February 1 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Perry, Florida. She was a retired librarian and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lexington.
Survivors include two daughters - Mrs. Frances Thompson of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mrs. Lois Cade of Live Oak, Florida, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hunter Cade, Ed Thurmond, Holt Smith, Herbert Hyman, Jack Yates, and Kim Kimbrough.
Honorary pallbearers were Herman Flowers, James Holt Cade, Bill Jordan, Gene Trotman, Dr. Charles Campbell, Dr. Gordon Russell, Billy Jones, Dr. John Downer, Isaac King, W.H. Fincher, Bob McLellan, A.J. Davis, Pepper Tidwell, Bud Moore, and Mike Lammons
