Funeral rites for Mrs. Loyce Stricklin Carson, 56, of Lexington were held Friday from the First United Methodist Church in Lexington with interment following at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. The Rev. Brown and Rev. Leslie Nabors officiated.

Mrs. Carson, the wife of Charles M. Carson, was a Yazoo County native and a resident of Lexington. She passed away at Holmes County Hospital in Lexington after an extended illness. Mrs. Carson, a secretary, was a member of the First Methodist Church of Lexington.

Survivors are her husband; sons, Chuck Carson of - , Chris Carson and Craig Carson, both of Lexington; three daughters, Jamye Autry of Yazoo City, Julia Soniat of New Orleans and Janis Carson of Lexington; one brother, Thomas Stricklin of Monroe, Louisiana; and one sister, Joyce Hadley of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Pallbearers were Bob - , Nolan H. O’Reilly, - Stark, Frank Hughes, - McLellan, Dr. Charles - , Homer Daniel, - Barrentine.
