Mack Ervin Grantham

Mack Ervin Grantham, 91, died at home on August 8, 2016. Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 am on August 10 at Southern Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11 am in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Keith Garland officiated. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Cash, Anthony Grantham, Holt Smith, Bill Davis, Michael Fancher and Paul Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers were the Nathan Aldridge Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church in Lexington.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dave Grantham and Corine Beville Grantham; brother, Lewis Rosamond Grantham. Survivors are wife, Lois Grantham; son, David Allen Grantham, wife, Mary Ann of Kosciusko, MS; brother, Hayes Grantham of Lexington.

Member of First Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years and member of Nathan Aldridge Sunday school class. Retired from Weathersby Chevrolet and Holmes County Country Club. Served as alderman several years in Lexington. Served in World War II in the 321st infantry in the military police 677 receiving two overseas service bars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Arm of Occupation Ribbon (Japan) Victory Ribbon and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Company Ribbon.

Southern Funeral Home handled arrangements.
