Miss Maidie E. Bunch

Miss Maidie E. Bunch, 89, of 200 Dominican Drive, Madison, died Monday at St. Dominic Hospital of congestive heart failure. She was a retired school teacher.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the graveside in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington with Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home of Jackson in charge of arrangements.

Miss Bunch was a native of Goodman,and former resident of the Shrock Community in Attala County. She graduated from Holmes Agricultural High School and in 1926 from Mississippi State College for Women. She did graduate work at the University of Buffalo, NY. She taught school at McAdams and Morgan City in Mississippi and at schools in North Carolina, France, and Yokohama, Japan prior to retirement when she moved to Jackson. She was a former resident of The Ambbassador on Wayneland prior to moving to St. Catherine's Retirement Village. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include: a brother, Carl B. Bunch. Sr., of Mobile. Ala.; three nieces, Joyce Bunch Smith of Greenwood, Dorothy Bunch Boone of Milton, Florida, and Carolyn Bunch Freeman or Arlington, Texas: three nephews, Carl B. Bunch, Jr., William Oscar Bunch. Jr., and Robert Bunch, all of Mobile, Alabama.
