PASSES AT LEXINGTON
SERVICES HELD THURSDAY
FOR AGED CITIZEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Moore Jordan, 68, Lexington, were held at the family residence in Lexington on July 1. She died on June 30 following a months’ illness, having been operated on at a Jackson hospital a month ago.
The services were in charge of the Bev. J. T. McCafferty pastor of the Methodist Church of which the deceased had long been a member.
Interment was held at the Odd Fellows cemetery with Harrell in charge.
Mrs. Jordan was one of the oldest and best loved citizens of Lexington and this county. She was an active member of the Methodist Church and leaves a host of friends to mourn her passing.
She is survived by her husband W. L. Jordan and three sisters, Mrs. Jeb Powers, Franklin; Mrs. K. H. Diggs, Acona; Mrs. Effie Swittenberg, Lexington; one brother, Walter Moore, Lexing ton; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Moore Lebby, Nashville, Tenn., and one son Arthur Jordan, Greenwood.
