Notes

Miss Mary Wynn was born and reared in Bowling Green Community in Holmes County. She had been associated with the Community hospital for thirty-three years. When she began her work there the hospital was located in the old Swinney home. After the new hospital was built, she continued her services as dietitian. She not only prepared the menus, but provided the food by raising chickens, gardening and canning vegetables and fruits to take care of the hospital needs. Miss Wynn also served as hostess and lived in the nurses' apartment. She was a number of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and had one brother, Mr. Eugene Wynn of Lexington.
