Obituary
William McNeer
bbbb William Martin McNeer, 73, died Saturday at the Holmes County Community Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 1, from Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mr. McNeer was native of Holmes County, a son of Robert Martin McNeer and Mary Ann Eubanks McNeer.

He was a retired policeman, a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Flora McBride McNeer; a sister, Mrs. C.B. Read, and his aunt Mrs. Lyda Thyne, all of Lexington.

Pallbearers were Bill McLellan, Dennis Steen, Pete McNeer, Jimmy McBride, Richard Simpson, and Mike Steen.
