Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Doris Word Ingold were held at Southern Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Andy Ray officiated.
Mrs. Ingold died Tuesday, June 14 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington of an apparent heart attack. She was 82.
A native of Carroll County, she was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington. She was the widow of Virgil O. Ingold.
Survivors include two sons, Virgil Ingold, Jr. and Ernest Lee Ingold, both of Lexington; two brothers, John Word of Lexington and Fincher Word of Indianola; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern in charge of arrangements.
Serving as active pallbearers were Johnny Word, Ed Word, John Hearn, Calvin Moore, Eddie Yarborough, and John Allen Darnell.
