Services for Miss Mary Marguerite Miles, assistant librarian of Lexington branch of the Holmes County Library, who died Saturday at 4 p.m. at Holmes County Community hospital following a lingering illness, were held July 8 at 4 p.m. from the old family home where she was born, reared, and had lived her entire life.

Miss Miles was the daughter of John R. and Agnes Donelson Miles, pioneer settlers of Holmes county, and had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Joe H. Her illness had been lingering and she had been in the hospital for several weeks. She had served for a number of years in an assistant capacity at the Lexington library.

The last rites were conducted by the Rev. Harmon L. Smith, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was in the family lot in OdeFellows cemetery, with Southern Funeral home in charge.
