Modena Cargill Howard Barrett

Funeral services for Mrs. Modena Cargill Howard Barrett, 78, of Lexington were held Monday, February 12 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Lexington. Dr. Linda Naef officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barrett died Saturday, February 10 of cancer at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

She was a native of Holmes County and was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University.

Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Richard (Dick) Barrett.

Survivors include: sisters, Sara Howard Patton of Durant and Ann Howard Jackson of Kosciusko and Bay St. Louis; four nieces and five nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
