Mrs. Myrtle B. Burkhardt
Mrs. Myrtle Brown Burkhardt, 83, a life-long resident of Holmes County, died at her home in Lexington on Monday morning, March 8. Mrs. Burkhardt, the daughter of Samuel Jackson Brown and Nannie Pierce Brown, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lexington.
Services were held March 9 at 2:00 p.m. from the Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Dudley Brown officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Burkhardt is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nannie E.V. Brown Patterson of Jackson, four nephews and one niece.
Pallbearers were W.P. Brown, III, L. Craig Brown, W. B. Patterson, Jr., James Patterson, Warren King and Andrew Brown.
