Obituary
Pauline Leslie Rhyne Shurlds Neal

Pauline Leslie Shurlds Neal, 89, passed away at her home in Lexington on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, after a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be at 12:30 pm until the service time at 2 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Larry Edwards will officiate.

Pallbearers will be James, Thad and Travis Killebrew, Phil Cohen, Bruce Hill, Mike Thomas, and grandsons, Allen Cox and Scott Self.

Mrs. Neal was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Major Henry W. Shurlds, Jr., and her second husband, Steve R. Neal.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Shurlds Cox and husband, Elkins of Snellville, GA and Judy Neal Ferrell and husband, Louis of Lexington; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
