Funeral services for Steve Reeves Neal, 73, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24 from Southern Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Reed Dicken officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mr. Neal, a retired car salesman for Moses Ford Co. of Lexington, passed away on April 22 after an extended illness. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife Leslie; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Ferrell of Lexington and Mrs. Linda Shurlds Cox of Decatur, Georgia; six sisters, Mrs. Fannie Mae Burgess, Mrs. Myrtle Wells, Mrs. Sarah Shaw, and Mrs. Gladys Mitchell, all of Winona, Mrs. Delatt Ross of Huntsville, Alabama and Miss Kathryn Neal of Tupelo; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Reuben Netherland, Joey Netherland, Dorsey Cockrell, James Killebrew, Ralph Alexander and Johnny Allen.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill McLellan, E.R. Trotman, Ad Rutledge, Bunton Frost, George Bailey and Dr. John Downer.
