Norman Doty Porter, Jr.
Rites Held Friday

Friends of S/Sgt. and Mrs. Norman Doty Porter, of Durant, will regret to learn of the death on Oct. 6th of their two-day old son, born at the Greenville Hospital.

Services were held Friday afternoon, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, at Lexington, with Rev. Henry S. Robinson, pastor of the Durant Presbyterian Church officiating. Southern Undertaking Association was in charge of interment.

Mrs. Porter is the former Jean McCraw of Areola, daughter of Mrs. John
McCraw of that place.

S/Sgt. Porter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Porter of Durant, and is now

stationed somewhere in the Pacific.
