Funeral services for Mrs. Olive Downs Cade, 57, widow of the late M. Hunter Cade, were held Tuesday, May 23 from the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Howard Allen officiating. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cade died Sunday at the County Community Hospital after an illness of a week.
She was a license practical nurse, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Edna Cade Roth of Kassie, Germany; two sons, Hunter Cade and Paul Drew Cade of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Nell Delno of Winter Park, Fla., and Mrs. Hilda Pickens of Indianola; one brother, John W. Downs of Lexington, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Brown, Harold Hammett, Jr., Don Barrett, Marvin Cade, Andrew Smith, Pat Barrett, Jr., Dr. John Downer, and Holt Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Deacons and Elders of First Presbyterian Church, Dr. Charles Campbell and Dr. P. B. Brumby.
