Notes

Rev. O. F. Hosea was one of the landmarks of Lexington and Holmes county. He was eighty four years of age at his death and was a devout Christian and a local preacher, and an ordained deacon in the Methodist church. He was at one time mayor of the town of Lexington and at the time of his death was chaplain of the camps of Confederate Veterans of Holmes county.
