Funeral services for Otha Wilson Ivey of Lexington were held Wednesday, June 12 at 2 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington. Rev. Lorance Frost officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mr. Ivey, 65, was a native of Holmes County where he had been a mechanic. He died Monday, June 10 at Holmes County Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
His survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Tennie Joyce Ivey of Lexington; six sons, Otha W. Ivey, Jr. of Melborn, Florida, Billy Gene, David and J. J. Ivey of Lexington, Charles Ivey of Yazoo City and Jerry Ivey of Louisville, Kentucky; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Keen of Durant and Miss June Ivey of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Ena Watson of Jackson: and 6 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Billy Joe Gilmore, Ed Ellison, White Malone, Mike Thomas, Rick Davis and Dennis Steen.
