David Daniel Quon

David Daniel "Danny" Quon, 40, passed away suddenly April 10, 2011 in Lexington, Miss.

Visitation was April 15, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Lexington. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Danny's pastor, Rev. Joseph Wheat, conducted the service. A reception followed the service at the Holmes County Country Club.

Danny Quon was born on January 24, 1971 in Lexington, Miss., to David and Mai Quon. He was a graduate of Central Holmes Academy in Lexington in 1989, where he excelled in athletics. He went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in biology. He was a resident of Canton, Miss., where he was a business owner of Canton Cafe and Catering, a local favorite restaurant. Danny was actively involved in serving his town and community. He was a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland, Miss.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, David Quon.

He is survived by his son, Brendon Quon of Canton; his mother, Mai Quon of Lexington; his grandmother, Siu Woo of Lexington; and his sisters, Helen Joe of Olive Branch, Lilly Austin of Lexington, and Judy Austin of Madison, along with several nieces and nephews, a great niece, and a great nephew.

Pallbearers were Jack Bell, Richard Chisolm, Brian Henry, Matt Riley, David Smith, and Brad Varner.

Danny enjoyed spending time with his son Brendon, coaching baseball, playing golf, and attending Ole Miss athletic events. Danny's warm and loving personality made a lasting impression on the lives of many, and he will be greatly missed.
