Services Held For
James C. Reid

Services for James C. Reid of Lexington, who died at his home Saturday night after a long illness, were held Sunday afternoon from the residence, with the Rev. A. Y. Brown officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. R. Jones of Yazoo City. Burial was in Lexington Cemetery.

Born in Black Hawk, Mr. Reid moved to Holmes County a number of years ago. He was a retired accountant, having worked in the sheriff’s office in both Holmes and Humphreys Counties. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was 77. Surviving him is his wife, Mrs. Aileen Abbott Reid.

Pallbearers were W- E. Thurmond, Emmett Reese, Ben Beall, Jessie Walton, Watt Ford, W. L. Ellis, Jr., Edgar Lumpkin, and John Stewart Watson.
