Funeral services for Robert Sidney Henley, 71, of Lexington, were held Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 3:00 p.m. from Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. Mike O’Brien officiated with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mr. Henley died Monday, Dec.12 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
A native of Holmes County, he was the owner and operator of Lexington Hardware Company in Lexington for forty years until April 1988 when he sold the business. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Anne Wilson of New Orleans, Louisiana; four sons, Mark Henley of Ocean Springs, James C. Henley of Sarasota, Florida, Robert S. Henley of New Orleans, Louisiana and Thad Henley of Slidell, Louisiana; a sister, Mrs. Nurry Nixon of Raleigh, N. C., and a brother, Ed Buck Henley of Lexington; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Len Ware, Robert Ware, Tracy Ware, Jack Farmer, Dr. Charles Campbell, and Roy Gelston.
