William Franklin "Bill" Rodgers of Kosciusko, 82, died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Rev. Ed McDaniel officiated.
Pallbearers were Winston Proctor, Clay Rodgers, Greg Rodgers, Josh Rodgers, Eric Rodgers, and Dustin Weeks.
Mr. Rodgers was born on September 22, 1925 in Sturgis to Arp Rodgers and Effie Louise Sanders Rodgers. He was a WWII veteran with the Navy, a printer with the Holmes County Herald and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: sons, David (Rita) Rodgers of Durant, Arpie (Dianne) Rodgers of Seffner, FL, Bill (Kerry) Rodgers, Jr., of Hattiesburg, and Sandy Rodgers of Gray Bull, WY; daughters, Kitty (Winston) Proctor of Rocky Mount, NC, and Tina (Mike) Franklin of Jacksonville, AR; brothers, Teat Rodgers of Lexington, and Wayne Rodgers of Collierville, TN; sister Rachael O'Kelley of Lexington; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
