Obituary
Roy F. Gelston
Roy F. Gelston, 91, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Roy had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1947. He was a deacon of the church and for 48 years served as General Sunday School Secretary of the church.

Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Roy served in the Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was employed at the Lexington Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and retired as plant manager for Yazoo Bottling Co. totaling 44 years.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Young Gelston of Lexington. He is also survived by three sisters, Pauline Cummins of Columbus, MS, Reba Lewis of Jackson, MS and Julia Johnson of Indian Rock Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
