Kenneth Shute
Kenneth Shute, 79, of Belzoni died of a brain tumor Thursday, July 13 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 14 at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington. Dr. Billy McKay officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
A native of Carroll County, he was a retired farmer, a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Belzoni.
Survivors, include: wife, Frances Shute of Belzoni; son, George Shute of Elliott, step-son, Leroy Gregg of Amory; step-daughters, Elaine Faust of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Jessica Farmer of Silver City; brother, Robert Shute of Goodman; sisters, Anne Elliott of Tempe, Arizona, Nell Byrd of Memphis, Tennessee and Joyce Tate of Coila; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were John Shute, - Allen, Jr., Al Tate, Bob Tate, Greg Shute and George Ellison.
Members of the Mens Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church in Belzoni served as honorary pallbearers.
