Obituary
Charlie Sinclair, DDS
Charlie Sinclair, DDS, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Dr. Sinclair was born July 14, 1929, in D'Lo, MS.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. from First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Officiating ministers were Rev. Gene Asbury, Rev. Cecil Jones, and Rev. Skipper Maxwell. Burial was Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He graduated from Delta State College, then attended the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Lexington for 40 years before retiring and moving to Tupelo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lexington. He attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Tupelo. An avid outdoorsman and gardener, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth Thurmond Sinclair of Tupelo; son, Charlie "Chuck" Sinclair of Brandon, daughters, Rebecca Pepper of Canton, Wanda Snyder of Reed City, MI, Karon Thames of Decatur, and Kathy White of Tupelo; step-son, Bill Herring Tupelo; sister, Imogene Muse of Jackson, MS; 18 grandchildren; 1 step-grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Sullivan Sinclair; a sister, Helen Croene; a daughter, Roxanne Sinclair; and his parents, Silas Ray and Ada Day Sinclair.
