Obituary
Theodore Moses
LEXINGTON - Services for Theodore "Theo" Moses, 94, of Lexington, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Lexington.

Mr. Moses died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at his residence.

He graduated from Lexington High School, where he was a member of the football team. He served in the Naval Air Force during World War II.

He was a mechanic. After retiring from that profession at age 62, he enjoyed farming with his son for 23 years. His interests included fishing, sign painting, duck hunting and listening to Mississippi State sports.

Mr. Moses was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington. He loved the Lord Jesus, and one of his favorite verses was Isaiah 26:3, "He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in Him."

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Dell Jordan Moses of Lexington; a son, Theodore Allen Moses and his wife, Stella, of Tchula; two daughters, Nancy Goss and her husband, Allen, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Janie Harris and her husband, Ellis, of Cruger; a sister, Bessie Lou Holder of Clinton; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Jack Wooten will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m until service time Thursday in the church's Fellowship Hall.

Pallbearers will be Tim Goss, Corley Moses, Ellis Harris III, Mac Phillips, Harold Dodd Hammett and Clay Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Barrett, Malcolm Phillips, Jim Hutton, Carl Rodgers Jr. and Dr. Charles Campbell.

Southern Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
