Biographical Information
His name is Thomas Alexander Lunsford. He was born 19 May 1839 in Alabama. He died 1 February 1915 in Lexington, Holmes County, Mississippi. This sketch was compiled from information contained in his obituary in Confederate Veteran Magazine, 1916. He moved from Alabama to Mississippi when quite young. In 1861 he volunteered with the 28th Mississippi Cavalry, Company A. After the war, he joined the Holmes County Camp of United Confederate Veterans. He was a member of the Methodist Church and his pastor, Reverend W. J. O'Bryant, spoke at his funeral.
