Mr. W.C. Moss was a prominent citizen of the county. For 40 years he engaged in farming operations at Emory and owned a nice landed interest in that section of the county. He was a man of fine traits and enjoyed the respect and esteem of all. He was a prominent in the civic and religious life of Emory and his passing has removed a valuable citizen. He was a member of the Methodist church.

He was married to Mary Catherine Moore Moss and had several children, Jodie Hinton, Mrs. Pete McLellan, Lakeland, Florida; H. H. Moss, Algoma; J. W. Moss, Lyon; Mrs. Frank Buchanan, Moorehead; Mrs. Mack Gant, Douglas Moss, Tchula; Miss Ouida Moss, Jackson. He had two brothers John Moss of Durant and Jim Moss of Jackson and one sister, Mrs. John Yearger of Durant.
