Obituary

CAROLYN WATKINS

Carolyn Watkins, 79, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Southern Funeral Home. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Rev. Jimmy Hodges officiated. Pallbearers were Greg Watkins, Jr., Will Watkins, Hugh Gilliland, Ty Watkins, Preston O’Neal and Robby Horne.

Mrs. Watkins was a homemaker and a member of Grace Fellowship Church.

Survivors are sons, Gregory Vance Watkins (Tabatha) of Columbus and James Mitchell Watkins (Hollye) of Madison; daughter Sara Beth Gilliland of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Vance Watkins and a daughter Sondra Kay Watkins.
