Wayne Fondren was a jail administrator for the Leflore County Jail for 30 years. A native of Morgan City, he resided in Greenwood for most of his life. He was buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. He was married to Carol Jean Fondren and had two daughters, Susanne Fondren and Laura Dronet, both of Greenwood. He had two sisters, Lynn Bratton of Greenwood and Betty Fullilove of Teoc; and five grandchildren, Candice Stanford, Beth Stanford, Caroline Stanford, Eric Dronet and Caleb Dronet, all of Greenwood.
