Obituary

WILLIAM E. GILMORE

Funeral services were held for William Everett Gilmore, 43, of Lexington July 3 at 3 p.m. from Southern Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leslie Nabors and Rev. Leon Ballard officiated with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mr. Gilmore died July 1 in Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He was a member of the Oregon Memorial Church.

Mr. Gilmore had been employed by Supreme Electronics in Greenwood since 1961. He graduated from Lexington High School and attended Mississippi State University. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in 1954-55.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Julia Barrentine Gilmore of Lexington, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Active pallbearers were Bill Bruner, John Looney, Joe Moore, Bobby Fisher, Johnny Smith, and Les Vance.
